Ive seen some people talking about the ab+ feature but what it is ? What it does more than the 100% turned on ?
AB+ is a spectrum configuration that Ecotech tested and provided that is very heavy in blues/purples and light on whites, greens, and reds.

At a minimum on a 6ft tank should be 3 XR30's, 4 would be better. Thats
6-8 XR15's. If you plan on Acro's you will need more than 3 XR15's. If you are keeping mushrooms and some leathers then maybe the 3 XR15's will work for some of them. 3 XR15's are not a lot of light for a 6ft tank no matter what EcoTech is telling you.

Sustainability, Preference, type of coral and mainly tank depth. Many 72" tanks are 36" deep or more and require additional lighting to prevent shading in the tank on corals.

That will cause more shadowing. What happens when your prized acro colony cgrws to cover the entire puck? what will all the other corals that need the light do?

Radions are a point source light. I have 6 XR15's in the AL LED /T5 Hybrid fixtures over my 6ft tank. The Radions go down the middle. The problem is that the Radions without T5 will not provide enough coverage and there will be shading. If you really want coverage at a reduced price go T5 or better yet Halide. LED's require more fixtures for even coverage.

So how’d it turn out? I’m thinking about 3 XR15’s G5. Over my 6 foot tank. Between the brackets I’ve got 3, 22x16 area? Hence 3 of the new G5 XR15’s. I’m getting mixed responses but when i mention in only doing lps, softies and Zoanthids so far I’ve gotten responses that say it’ll work. Did the 3 work for you?

Where would I put the 4th light? I’ve only got the 3 openings between brackets?
One on each end and center the two and place at slight outward angle.
Me , i would place an XR 30 in center and 15’s on the outsides
