Ozoniser without air dryer?

It seems an ozoniser works best with and air dryer, but does it significantly reduce the life time of the device itself?

Been doing a testrun on my air and dryer setup and it's clear I'll have to quit my job and become a full time silica beads dryer instead.

Would it be terrible to discard the air dryer, and just compensate the lack of effeciency by increasing the ozone generated?

Air drying is optional. It makes the machine work better, and you don’t have to clean it as often.

They sell large packs of silica beads that you can recharge once every two weeks by collecting the exhausted beads.

That being said, ozone will still work very well without drying.

Thanks. I need to do more testing, but seems I've exhausted 400 ml in 24hrs.
That's way more than I'd like to change and dry.

You can get the same water clarity effects with using ozone once a week IMO.

I believe using it 24/7 is not needed; It also reduces skimmer performance.

I'll have to toy with it a bit. Maybe a lower dose 24/7 or just a few hours at night.

I have been using Ozone for decades without an air drier. It still smells like Ozone so I "assume" it's working but since I can't see ozone, I am guessing. :)

I'm not to worried about it working, but of the device would continue to work.
Obviously cleaning and regular maintanence is needed, but don't want to replace it after a year.

I bought the smallest one I could find on Amazon just to play with. I run it for 30 minutes in the middle of the night. It makes an amazing difference in water clarity. I’ve stopped running carbon and just run this once a day for 30 minutes into my skimmer. No dryer and no ORP monitoring, though I do check it from time to time with a cheap pen. That’s how I arrived at the 30 minutes.

I ordered an oversized model, as it can easily be turned down or off. Going to use a reactor with carbon, and thought I was going to use an air dryer jntill I saw how fast it depletes
