Painting heat sink

So I'm too cheap to buy the AI Sol black conversion kit and I dont like the look of the white plastic it has. I want to paint everything black, is there a way to be able to paint the heat sink as well so that my entire fixture is black?

I'd think if you used a thermal paint it could work. I know there's oven paint that can stand up against high temperature without perishing and can conduct heat well. It might be something to look into.
