350 gallon planet aquarium custom build with stainless steel fram and pvc bottom and back 72 long 36 tall 30 deep
Bashsea SS60 refugium
kessil tuna flora sump light
3 ecotech gen 5 blues
290lbs dry rock from old tank
300 lbs live black indo arag sand
apex
trident
3 neptune dos
2 redsea wave 45
1 maxspec aquadeo skimmer
1 avast marine bio reactor
2 fmm modules 1 extra probe module for 65 gallon ato
2 neptune power modules
1 neptune core 20
2 400 water heaters
1 10 gallon qt tank with divider and sponges
Im sure i forgot some stuff so i removed my ild tank and rebuilt entire fish room and upgraded to new tank i just got it online so i thought i would post some pics of where im at right now ENJOY this is my dream tank

Looks great! I think it will be an amazing setup!

I have one short term concern and one long term concern. The first concern is black sand. Once your tank has been wet for a month or two I would send off and ICP. Some black sand has heavy metals that can be released into the water. And ICP should make it pretty clear if your batch has a problem.

If you are going to go SPS dominant you may have flow issues. If you aren't going SPS your gyres will be fine. The issue you will see is that instead of pushing water forward all the way across the tank you will have some stream to the front and back. When I noticed that, I added a second gyre to each side and my coral growth took off. It made a huge difference.

i have two gyres and i researched the sand it is indo pacific and is supposed to have no metals in it but icp is gonna happen anyway

ICP's are cheap compared to the risk of not doing one with black sand imo.

I run 2 gyres on each side on my 30" wide tank. The improvement of flow was dramatic.

ok i got ya ill be mostly lps for awhile then mixed later
You will be fine with the single gyre for awhile then. Just something to keep in mind for later!
