par 38 bulb overkill for sump refugium?

I have a par 38 bulb from my 9 gal nano reef- is it an overkill for a refugium with chaetos and future macros?

should I find a 6500k bulb instead?

It would work yes and not overkill. A 6500 Full spectrum would be better yes. 4800k to 6500 work well as green plants like the R Y & O parts of the spectrum(sun) that are missing from reef lights, but also enjoy the blue part as well(sky).

thanks. I'll probably get a regular 6500 bulb next time I am in Home Depot. don't feel like making a trip just for one bulb, lol
