Par suggestion new torch

Hi

I got a gold torch about a week ago.
placed it at the bottom in low flow.
It's slowly opening, and wondering if it could be to low light.
I also got my hands on a seneye to measure PAR.
Question is, what PAR would you recommend?
I haven't tested the exact spot but think it's only 50-ish PAR.
Would it be a good idea to move it to more light, and if so how much / max PAR recommendations?

Its open, but not much.

I give mine around a 100. They don’t need a lot to be happy. 50 might be fine once it settles in if it is catching some food to help supplement the photosynthesis.

I wonder what increase will be acceptable?
I'm thinking from 50 to 100 PAR isn't the same as from 100 to 150?

I'll test and update, so we know the difference :)

New place is 90 PAR.
This shouldn't be an issue right?

I think it’s roughly twice as strong per par.

Keep in mind that any change in light will affect any other photosynthetic organisms you might have, same for any future additions.

IMM, torches are slower to become happy and like MG around 1400ppm.

If there are no other corals, then I might raise that 20 PAR, then no other changes for a month at which time, it’s health is reassessed.

If there are others and you are happy with them, I might just stay where I am for a month, then reassess.

These two are about 80 PAR.

It’s a bit of a jump but just stay there now and reassess in a week. My torches really hate to be moved.
Not concerned with your 90, but slower is always better.
If she pulls back for any more than 3 days in a row, back off 20.

I'll try and watch it over the weekend.
If 'she' don't open up as much as before, I'll lower the light a bit.

I was talking about moving the coral, not adjusting light, so shouldn't effect anything else.

I did move it, and it seems just as 'happy' in the new spot:
