Today I've taken the time to have these bulbs finally tested!

I'm satisfied with the results but for larger tank just isn't strong enough for deeper tanks as you'll see by the numbers. Still these are perfect for small tanks from nano to a 40g Id say from personal experience.

Bulb is full spectrum 36watts each. The test was done at 9" above water line and measured in an 8" ratios and 16" deep. Both above water and directly below. Numbers were pretty interesting to find out for me and gives a great view on most PAR38 bulbs too.

Good info. Always great to know what your light readings are. Otherwise, it's like placing a coral on a rock in the middle of the night when the power's out.

I borrowed one from my Local Reef Club. Shout-out to join your local reef club! I would have never been able to buy one of these.

To bad nobody except one shop has one. So I went to him and checked. Was a rough idea tho so saves headaches :) checking par is the next step in reef keeping from just starting.
