Ok so I have my par38 10k full spectrum 36w led with 60 degree lenses about 10 inches off the waters surface.

I had mushrooms directly in the middle of the tank and they were doing great.

Recently I moved them to the side of the tank
But due to the led not fully covering, the edges they are abit darker than the rest of the tank.

Now I've noticed my mushrooms stretching up as if they are reaching for light.

My question is, if I raise the light higher to fill the edges of the tank, would this help them or would I just be taking more light away from them and the rest of my corals due to raising it further away? Any help appreciated, thanks.

can always try raising it and see how they act ... if they begin acting funny, lower the light back down

Raising the light will increase spread and decrease PAR.

What size tank you do you? It sounds like you have something longer than about 16", in which case I'd recommend getting a second PAR38 bulb.

Tank is 18" long.
I've got some anthelia on the side also looks like it's melting :/

I've got zoas, anthelia and xenia all around the middle and there doing good so I don't want to raise the light and they start dying if it lowers the par.

Would it help if I added a t5ho lamp?
I've got a 36w t5 but the bulbs are not replaceable.

But that would put 72w over my 10g of both t5 and led, would this shock my coral?

If you want to, it would help. Run them on either a dimming ballast or start them off at only 2 hours per day in the middle of your normal light schedule, then 3 hours, then 4, etc. Up it like that once a week or so.
