I have a 55 gallon tank. In this tank I have (in order of importance to me):
1 Midas blenny(don't have yet but is my top priority)
2 hi-fin gobies
1 candycane pistol
1 coral beauty
Soft and hard corals
Tons of inverts
1 royal gramma

I need something to bring color and activity to my tank without being aggressive. I was considering:
3 Bangai cardinals? or should I do pajama cardinals instead
5 green chromis? could I do blue chromis instead?
1flame angel? or should I not mix with the coral beauty? or too aggressive?

Any other ideas?

Tank you for your time,

Kevin

Bangaiis for sure but only a male/female pair if you're adding more than one. I you add 3 they will eventually pick each other off until there is one or a m/f pair.

The blue/green chromis (C. viridis)are a better choice than the blue reef chromis (C. cyaneus). Either species will pick off one another until there is only one or two left eventually.

I wouldn't add 2 dwarf angels in 55 with each other. Not to mention the risk of them nipping at corals.

I would not add another angel. A 55 does not really offer enough swimming space for them and their may be issues with fighting.

I would forget the green chromis, after some time you will be left with only one. Flame Angel is not a good idea with Coral Beauty in 55gal. tank, too small most likely they will fight.Cardinals are fine, but for me they are to stationary, not a lot of movement. Maybe consider a trio of small Anthias or a pair of clownfish?

How about a trio of disbar anthias or similar anthias? I wouldn't add another angel either and I've only had bad luck with chromis (evil little fish!).

That could work. I would get all females. Also, I would try to feed them 2-3 times a day. They have fast metabolisms.
