So from a google search I am not turning up much and figured I would turn to the community. I recently bought a Pearly Jawfish for my main display tank and after acclimation he made a small burrow in the corner about a foot from my long tentacle anemone. Today he seemed to be acting weird in that he was getting extremely close to it and while I was observing it he dove into the middle of it. For a moment I thought that was it for him, but he wriggled free and returned for more, flossing himself on it like a clown would. The only negative effect I can tell is that the Clarkii pair hosting currently are not very happy and attempt to chase him off. Is this something that could effect his health? He is now exploring some more and I am wondering if he may attempt this same behavior with my sebae on the other end of the aquarium (its 6') and if he does would this harm him? I have never heard of a jawfish attempting to host before but he seems very interested in the LT despite having plenty of sand depth and rock work to make a home in and the Clarkii constantly chasing him off. On a side note I am not worried about the Clarkii being evicted as the sebae currently is open should they decide to move. Thanks!
