Happy New Year Y'all!! Going to try something new. Instead of separate postings every once in a while I'm going to just keep one thread in the photo forum and see how that goes. As always, if you click on the image you should be taken to my Flikr hosting which will have info on camera settings. You can also zoom in closer on Flikr which is sometimes cool on chalice shots where colors are swirling together. I generally shoot with a Canon T6i and 100mm Macro. Here are the first shots of 2021, May it be a better year for all of us!!!!

These shots are a little blurry, had to get a pretty severe angle through the glass since they're on the bottom

One shot from the 200G tank (barely up and running, check out the build thread for details)

Thanks for stopping by. Come on back and check out updates if you like what you see.

May we all find Peace in the New Year

Shots from today. 3 different Stellaria pieces, like the 3 bears, sm, med and large. Skirt on the teeny Jellybean chalice is crazy.

Fragged my TreeHouse of Horrors zoas earlier this week and finally have some where I can (sort of) get a decent shot. Took some other pics of stuff that was catching my eye. The Bowerbanki is one I've never really been able to get a good color representation, but getting closer.

Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you like this format of a single thread or like separate threads (or just don't like coral pictures :p)

Interesting difference in these shots. The first is my @WWC Oblivion under LEDs. The second is under my full lighting, LEDs and T5. Notice the difference from about 3 o'clock to about 7 o'clock (if the coral where a clock face). The coral is mounted vertically and that part is normally shaded (first shot). It only see's lighting when the T5s are running (second shot), about 4 hrs/day. Kinda cool.

I could shoot this Jelly Bean all day. It's kind of cheating, pretty easy to get hot pics of it. It's on a disc on the bottom so I can spin it around and shoot from all sides. Kinda Cool. The rim is CRAZY, shows why they consider it a "rainbow" chalice. I'll throw in one Blasto pic too.

Alert, Alert, I am trying something new haha. Took the first wack at shooting fish in my new tank (see tank thread in sig if interested). I haven't shot under these lights and haven't really shot anything that moves more than a torch frond, but here goes. Subjects are my Regal Angel which has been in the tank now about 6 weeks and Kole Tang which has been in 2 weeks. Notice the interesting difference between right and left side markings on the Regal, Cool. 3 Yellow Tangs coming tomorrow so stay tuned.

Another shot at some fish. I got a trio of yellow tangs in on Tuesday. Couldn't get them all together today. I think I'm going to have to do some research on shooting fish. Not really happy with the pics, but these are the best of what I got today.
