IMHO, probably not. What are you doing, or plan on doing with the photos you take? Prints? How big? Slides? Viewing on your computer?

Certainly not a HUGE improvement. And if you aren't blowing up prints to at least 11" x 17", you won't see any difference.

I use a Nikon P900 camera. It's a bridge camera with a fixed lens. But the lens is a 24mm to 2000mm zoom.

I love the camera. I use it mostly for race car, nature and vacation photography. It's biggest drawback is it's slower in low light, but not a serious issue. It's a bit heavy, but I carry it in my hand for hours as it has a good grip.

I took the camera for a week of racing at Virginia International Raceway last fall. My wife shoots a lot of nature photography and missed the camera because I had it. When I got home from the races... we own two Nikon P900's. It's not a cheap camera at about $500. But consider the cost of any big telephoto lens or even medium size zoom lens and it's a bargain.

We use Photoshop Elements 2018. I can do 8x10 prints easy. And if the original shot was good, I can do 11x17 prints with our Canon P100 photo printer. You can buy them cheap on ebay because Canon sold it in a package deal and lots of people didn't need or want the printer. I got mine for $100 brand new in the box with just a UPC code cut out. The original buyer needed it to get the rebate from Canon.

A sample of what the Nikon P900 can do. This is 100% optical and no digital enlargement all taken from the exact same spot in the parking lot and without having to change a lens!

This was so far away at VIR that the professional photographers with a $5000, 1000mm lens could even get it!

My favorite shot of the week, just because I love the car and the shot.

can also just upgrade the body, the K10 is a perfectly capable camera, however the newer K70, or Kp (or even K1ii or k3ii) are a large step up.
the Pentax 100mm macro is a full frame lens, and screwdrive, so it will work with any Pentax DSLR.

It’s not necessarily the camera that matters. It’s your knowledge of how to use the camera. I use a Nikon d5600 with a 70-300mm IF AF-S VR lens for daily use. I couldn’t be happier with my setup. It’s by no means a top of the line camera but it works.

You will only see a bigger difference in picture quality if you upgrade to a camera with a higher MP resolution with a faster shutter speed. A better lens can always help :)
