Peppermint shrimp?

So my frogspawn has been doing really well up in till I add a peppermint shrimp the other day and cam home from work and found this and rapidly check my water levels and everything was pretty much sopt on but my nitrate was at 10ppm so not really that hight to do something like this in the picture posted below p.s got rid of the peppermint shrimp just in case and will it grow back and or die completely

Peppermint shrimp are not safe in reefs, they readily eat acans but will also eat other meaty lps.

Yes the peppermint is bothering/eating it.

@chyeaboy2007 its funny you made this post. I added 11 peppermint shrimp to deal with aptasia in my tank and my orange frogspawn looks exactly like what's below. I just noticed this last night. I am still trying to see if any aptasia is missing.

@chyeaboy2007 its funny you made this post. I added 11 peppermint shrimp to deal with aptasia in my tank and my orange frogspawn looks exactly like what's below. I just noticed this last night. I am still trying to see if any aptasia is missing.

LPS taste way better than aiptasia.

lol to the LPS taste better and I did that same thing and mine is gone and so is that peppermint shrimp right down the flusher he went haha
LOLOLOL if they don't eat the aptasia then I will get a niger trigger or a wrasse or two. they will eat them. Natural life cycle.

I am here to report that literally after one week with 12 peppermints in my 210 system I can't find any aptasia. Now Can this be because I stopped feeding twice a day starving out my file fish? I don't know. I did not want to overfeed so the shrimp would eat fish food instead of the aptasia. I am very happy. Now to deal with some GHA which those 4 lazy tangs need to get on it. Guess a CUC is coming.
