Peppermint Shrimps are awesome

I bought 7 Peppermint shrimps last Thursday for my DS which was getting over run with Aiptasia and have to say really pleased. Had 100+ Aip, tried kalc paste, various chemical injection solutions, boiling water, lemon juice and just kept coming back. Biggest mistake was paying a fortune for Berghia which were DOA and another batch were Zoa eating Nudi!

Peps been in the tank 6 days and can only count 10 Aiptasia, never new they worked so quick?! They even eaten the ones in between my zoa's without damaging Zoa.

Little concerned what they will eat next as have Zoa collection, what have people been feeding there's after the aip are gone and did they go after your corals?

I bought 6 about 9 months ago, I did not have an infestation of Aiptasia yet, but I had a few. Have not seen an Aiptasia in months. The Peppermints have not touched my zoanthids or maxi-minis. They are fed heavily once a day. My last Peppermints shrimp experience did not go so well as they did eat my maxi-mini anemones.

Really?! Awesome two were heavy with eggs and there are currently no fish in the tank so I hope they do survive.

I haven't tried, there is quit a bit out there on this though.

Proud to pronounce the birth of 1000 teeny tiny Peppermints. Was doing a little night view with the red led torch and mummy shrimp flapped about and released 1000s of babies, looked like a snow storm of mini shrimpets.

Don't know how many, if any, will survive but really cool thing to witness.
