I've gotten them from biota before and they eat aptasia just fine but they will go for any other food source (prepared foods or frozen foods) before they go for aptasia, as far as some eating coral this is always a risk but most of the time they are actually camelback shrimp being mistaken for peppermint shrimp, (camelback shrimp will strictly only eat coral) camelbacks have a higher distinct hump and a slightly different pattern than peppermint shrimpMy understanding is that not all peppermints will eat Aiptasia, and that some may even eat your corals.
