PETG Filament brand

I always see a lot of topics on suggesting PETG but can’t find many great recommendations on exactly what spools to buy (brand/color).

There is an old thread here, but it’s outdated and all anecdotal evidence.

Does anyone have recommendations for a truly tested (1 year+) reef safe PETG brand?

I am also interested :) I also found PETG as a result recommendation but would also like more experimental evidence :) only two cents from me: I assume that mostly the coloring is an issue even with PETG. I do not know however where to get non-colored PETG (white is colored, not neutral I learned)

Ive been using the clear one for frag holders to lift the plug off the sand a little bit.
So far nothing seems to be wrong.

Just don't get the cheapest on amazon... they are seriously like one time use... meaning you need to use it in one sitting, or it absorbs so much moisture, that it becomes a massive headache with lots of needle cleaning involved in the future.

I use overture PETG for typical prints, have been impressed with the quality for the price.

I'm a firm believer in Hatchbox PLA, so when I started with PETG I went with them. They sell a "natural" roll with no added coloring. It comes out pretty close to white. This is my in-tank test (brand new). Even after soaking it was still too light, so the extra rock to hold it down. Tank is new, still cycling. Sorry for not cleaning the glass.

I'm strongly advocating you try the Kingroon PETG filament.

I've been using Overture black PETG for most of my reef things and while there aren't too many that have been in the water for a full year, there are a couple, and there are a bunch that go in and out but have been in service longer. I've also got some parts in their clear PETG.

I think you'd only likely have a problem with PETG if there's an additive or with an exotic pigment that leeches out - the standard stuff should be fairly consistent.
