So I noticed my zao's and hammer started pulliug in and after a check i saw my ph was at 7 so i added kalkwasser per instructions and checked the next day and my ph was 8.8. I have since completed a 25% water change and now its back to 8.2.

Nitrate .5
Nitrite 0
calcium 460
alk 11 dkh
ph 8.2
ammonia 0
phosphates 0
added salinity 1.26

I dont have mag test kit.

90 gal reef

5 or so frags of zao
1 hammer
6 reef fish ( smaller size )
2 mushrooms ( frag size )

I am not good with names of corals but a larger colony that looks like grass waving :)

2 AI vega ( 4 pucks each ) lights 10 in awl 33 in to sand

I am wondering if my lights can be better. I see many setting whites to 50-70% and blues to 90%. If i set my whites to 30% and blues over 40% I can barely look at it without sun glasses.

Ideas?

Can be, but I think the alkalinity will be a bigger concern. They should recover none the less if you get back the water Chemistry in proper range

Do you see anything out of line here?

ph and ca is high. rule of thumb is to never chase ph unless you are certain thats what need fixing. ill suggest doing 10% water change at 2 days interval for two consecutive times and then check back.

Do you think ph of 8.2 is high? my target was between 8.2 and 8.4
