Phosguard and Chemipure elite

I have a FO tank that due to constant feeding of multiple angels and triggers has developed the brown diatoms algae on some rocks. Would it be overkill to use both to decrease the PO4 and silicate levels? The tank has two midsize reef octo classic skimmers and the fish are healthy and growing. The tap water is good and due to apartment rules I cannot hook up anything to plumbing .

I would get more things to eat the algae rather than trying to starve it out unless the phosphate and silica values are very high
