Has anyone ever ordered from kush corals before? The pieces look really nice but pictures look really saturated. I just don’t want to buy something and get it and it looks nothing like the pictures.

I’ve just personally never seen coral with such a blue hue in person which is why I asked. That’s unfortunate.Everyone uses photoshop, I just don't buy online.
They may have camera lenses that make it that way tooI’ve just personally never seen coral with such a blue hue in person which is why I asked. That’s unfortunate.
Or a filter. I know that an orange filter might do this to the photo. Though, I never heard of colour enhancing lens at all. They may have camera lenses that make it that way too
Yes cranked up the blue and than saturation and other tricks. Than they up the price and you don't get the coral to to look the same in your tankHas anyone ever ordered from kush corals before? That’s what I meant the orange filterOr a filter. I know that an orange filter might do this to the photo. Though, I never heard of colour enhancing lens at all.
You’re welcome! I’m taking photos and I looked into lenses and none have an orange filter integrated in them. That’s what I meant the orange filter
Yeah, that’s very infortunate, but orange filter will filter the blue out of the light before photoshopping it.Yes cranked up the blue and than saturation and other tricks. Than they up the price and you don't get the coral to to look the same in your tank
Ask to see it in white light.
You’re right on that. I’d rather buy a coral that was in someone’s tank thriving vs someone who ordered wild and broke it down. Unfortunately not too many around me like that. Most of the places around me have bubble algae and aptasia. If you like the strain Google it and find real life pics of it. If it's worth having, there are plenty of pics online. My lfs sells these high end corals for 20% of what is offered online. Sure it takes a year or two for the latest and greatest, but I'm okay with that. Most of his high end sticks come from local guys that trade frags for store credit. Do yourself a favor and find a LFS like mine.
Do you dip? You’re right on that. I’d rather buy a coral that was in someone’s tank thriving vs someone who ordered wild and broke it down. Unfortunately not too many around me like that. Most of the places around me have bubble algae and aptasia.
Yea I do. I’m going to start actually putting corals on brand new plugs after I buy them from now on too.Do you dip?
Not a bad ideaYea I do. I’m going to start actually putting corals on brand new plugs after I buy them from now on too.
I’ve heard of that happening with wild caught acans. I just saw a video WWC did talking about that. The guy had a whole acan farm in his house. All of my super colour end Acans reverted back to traditional red colours after a year.
