I have a gold line rabbit that had a rough transition but is doing great now. But I noticed some new black lines on it. I was wondering if this was likely a scrape from a rock or fish or if it is potency something that needs treatment. Photo is attached.

Looks like either a scratch or moreso a tail strike from a tang if you have one. Should heal on its own but keep an eye on it for healing and not becoming sore or infected

etteguy is right, this is a physical injury. In my opinion, it looks more like a scar from the fish getting spooked and scraping against a rock. I believe the only thing needed for an injury like this is to prevent it from happening again; no medication is required.

I would describe his temperament as anxious so getting spooked isn't too surprising. He is the biggest fish in the tank and the moment and there are not tangs yet.

So a rock scrape makes sense. Thanks!
