Hey Jamsoury, use the specific phytoplankton fertilizer called 'f2' (sold under many names). Try to avoid terrestrial plant fertilizers like Miracle Grow, which may have other pollutants and metals that will concentrate in your food chain, as you are growing a primary producer that everything else will eat. Florida Aqua farms is a good source - sold as Micro Algae Grow... Some people use Miracle Grow, which can work, but isn't worth the risk in my opinion. F2 is pretty cheap and a little goes a long way...

I was going to order this stuff but when I email them for a shipping quote, their email doesn’t work.

I had a tank full of pods, still have a lot but since I put the scooter blenny in, he's made a pig of himself. And I just added 2 mandarins. So I need to be adding pods I'm sure. I have a display refugium with pods but it's not hooked up yet.

Are you doing anything to transfer the pods from that Refugium into the main tank?

Right now I think the display has more pods so no. NOt even sure ow I'd do so. The DR has 3 fish in it but not pod hunters, although the sand sifter probably gets some from doing what he loves. The damsels don't ever peck at the rocks. I'll have to reseed that tank at some point. I'm trying to find someone to come do the plumbing.
