Picasso and Platinum clowns

Could I keep both platinum and Picasso clowns in pairs in the same tank? Lets say a 90 gallon bowfront? If so would they need to have the same kind of anemone or would they fight for who gets the red one or green one etc..If you have both pair toss a pic up would love to see them.

Unless you want to throw your money away I wouldn't chance it. They would try an d kill each other off

I don't know, I thought it was possible to have a male and a harem of females... If you are going to try you should start with juvi's.

I would not risk it. The price you will pay for those fish will be lost and better spent on something else. Like 2 tanks so you can have them for a long time.

i agree with gaita98911. i have some picasso's and added them after my maroon. they wouldnt stop fighting had to get rid of the maroon sucked cuz he was the longest living member of my tank but i love the picasso pair their awesome

Very hard to mix 2 pairs of clowns in any tank under 300 gallons. Heck I wouldn't do it to designer clowns unless it was a 800 gallon lol.

It really all depends on the fish, I have a pair of snowflakes in the same tank with a pair of platinums and they get along just fine. I started them all as juveniles in the same tank and they have done great. If you do end up doing or trying it start them all together when they are young and your chances are much better. I also have a pair of skunks with a pair of picassos with no problems while on the other hand I have a pair of onyx that don't like any other clowns.

wow I guess one pair it is even if you have a 300 gallon those little fish would fight ..and yeah they are too expensive to experiment thanks that is why i asked guess it is best to keep them in two seperate tanks thanks for the intel.

I have a pair of regular Occ's and Black & White pair in a 75gal and they get along great. It all depends on the individual fish, but raising then from juvi together and at the same time in the tank is the key. Good luck...

i have 7 pairs of clowns in a 500 + 275 sump, they all had there own side of the tank with there mates

skunk clown complex do in fact do this in the wild. the 3rd, 4th clowns will be non sexual juvi's until the male for female dies.
