I have a 6 inch magnificent fox face that’s about 6 inches long that nibbles on Nori but really has started eating next to nothing in terms of pellet food or variety of frozen foods. Does anyone else out there have a similar experience with a fox face rabbit fish ? In a different tank, I’ve got a 8 inch bi color one that’s 13 years old that eats anything in sight. Fins dont look tattered , belly doesn’t look bloated . He’s a lazy fish but can swim quickly when he feels like it.

How long have you had him in your tank? And am I understanding that you have a second Foxface (good eater) that so far hasn't 'taught' the other one (poor eater) how to eat )... as in monkey-see, monkey-do?

Sorry, I just saw your reply. I’ve had the magnificent fox face for 1 year. ( the one in question ) He is 6 inches in my 210 gallon tank.

Other fox face is in a 120. He’s 8 inches and eats everything in site ( 12 years old) they don’t know each other lol

The Mag FF did eat some sea weed pellets today. He looks good, seems lazy only swims when he has to . But he can take off like lightening when he wants to, Healthy but seems to sleep a lot , interesting falls asleep during the day, color change and spines up. he’s not robust but certainly not thin. Maybe he’s chowing down on nuisance allergy

My magnificent foxface really only eats nori as well. He will get excited for seaweed extreme pellets, but that is it for frozen/pellets. He won’t touch anything else.

Good to know because mine is the most lazy, laid-back, beautiful fish, and I was just looking for some reassurance that he was OK
