It's a ricordia...if you look carefully up above the ricordia, you can see a weird hermit crab I recently got that likes to dig itself into the sand, up to it's eyes, and then waiting for prey to wander by...

I have a 20 gallon long tank. I run an AC70 on the back as a refugium (with chaeto and lights running). I also run a canister filter and a Koralia 425 which help with circulation. I have a homemade skimmer. I have 3 LED lights in for 8 hours each day, and also run dimmed blue lights at night for 4-6 hours.

I change out 4 gallons every 3-4 weeks, and change the floss in the canister at the time as well. I top up daily to the tune of about 600ml. I dose weekly with Kent Essential Elements at prescribed levels. I add 10 drops of white vinegar daily. I use our well water for making saltwater and for topping off the tank.

I feed a pinch of reefcleaners dry feed in the morning and at night, and once per week use a homemade food composed of equal volumes of raw broccoli, shrimp (with shells), and clams...with a clove of garlic...all blendered until mixed, but not smooth.

My WQ levels are generally: salinity 1.024, no3 0-10ppm, no2 0ppm, kh 200ppm, ph 8.2.
