Pink thing sticking out of my blue tang’s body???

So I just recently got a blue hippo tang and everything was fine and it’s been two days now. And now I noticed it has a pink tube or stick like figure coming out of his side ? Is it a parasite ? Or tissue ?

Image is a little blurry to pinpoint object. Im trying to determine if its from outside in or inside to out. Worm, maybe or object such as urchin spine?

Tough to see clearly. Does the fish also have some white cloudiness on its dorsal fin?
Is it eating well?
Can you post a video?

It isn’t a parasite, could be bacterial or from an injury.

No white cloudiness on dorsal fins , eats good and very active. A happy fish but just has that pink thing poking out

Looks like some kind of cyst.

That photo is a bit clearer. Looks like a ruptured abscess. Depending on how deep it goes, it may heal on its own. If it goes deep below the skin, the heart is close to that, so could become involved.

Treating a deep seated abscess by adding antibiotics to the water doesn't always work well, the eruption on the surface is the only part that gets exposed to the antibiotic.
