Pintail wrasse pair ID required

Can anyone help with the ID on the juvenile in this picture?

They being sold as a pair but the info I received were that they came in separate bags and were put together. They came in as a direct import.

Im not sure myself and have had this happen before with juvenile wrasse beeing mislabelled.

the juvenile/female wrasse in the pictures looks more like a rose band fairy wrasse to me. beautiful adult fish may be a steal if the fish store doesn't know what they have.

The cirhilabrus wrasses don't exist as bonded mating pairs. They exist in a large harem with many females and submales. In a small volume of water, such as a reef tank, they will both turn male and fight. Buy that beautiful male and enjoy it.

I also thought Rose band (Cirrhilabrus rosefascia) when I saw it.
