That's the best stuff to use for us IMO, no mess either. Should never be using teflon tape on plastic, it's meant for metal fittings. @EdsReefOdyssey, I've done about 20 fittings with the laco stick and zero issues.Tough to beat Plasto Joint Stick on plastic pipe threads. I will never use Teflon tape again on plastic threads.

Probably the best sealant is one that is designed for plastic pipe.Looking for pipe thread sealant that’s saltwater safe and will work with PVC and ABS. Any recommendations?
I second the use of clear silicone.Clear silicone is all I ever use and have never had a leak. This was based on information from Bill Wann when I was starting my tanks.
