Hello,

Do all pistol shrimp species pair with gobies and what species of goby pairs with pistol shrimp?

Thank you!

Pairing is a mixed bag. My experience has been as long as you have a shrimp goby the 2 will find each other. Others have not been so lucky.

there are prob too many gobies to list that will pair. Maybe tell us what you would like to keep and we can tell you if it will pair. For what it’s worth I keep 2 yasha gobies paired with a candy pistol (Randals)

If Alpheus heterochaelis is willing to pair

I have had a watchmen and pistol that have never been truly paired. The pistol shrimp will dig a burrow and hide there for about a week. The watchmen will move and "watch" over the burrow for about 12-24 hours and the pistol shrimp will move and find a new area. The watchmen stays behind and uses his burrow for about a week before seeking out the pistol shrimp.

MY PAIR IS BROKEN.
