First, my water supply is in my laundry room and has my ro-di equipment, @BRS 75 gallon per day system with 55 psi pressure. I currently roll a 25 gallon brute to the laundry, fill and then roll it back under stairs 25 ft away. The DT is down the hall another 5 feet to the left and into the living room and to the far outside wall of the living room.

My plan is to leave RODI system in the laundry room and run a line under baseboard to mixing tank under the stairs...
First question is will the basic RODI push water that far or would I need a booster pump. Or Would it be better to run a water line from the outlet and put the RODI system under the stairs.

Secondly, I would install the DOS by the display (which is where the Apex and EB832 are) and pull the SW from the mixing container from under stairs to DT and from the display to the outside of the house. Does this sound about right?

Now if I also have a freshwater barrel also, do y'all put opticalsensor in to turn the RODI on and off (high & low) and how do yo turn RODI on on demand, like when FW barrel is empty. Also what is the best way to fill the SW mixing station from the freshwater station. Since its under the stairs stacking is not an option.

Help or layouts or pictures would be great so I can wrap my head around it. Thanks

i have my rodi units about 30 ft away and up the wall and over to bin. i dont have a booster pump. PSI is 60-70. Water drips just fine.
If you use DOS to do water change then yes one motor will be pulling water from sw bin to tank and other from tank to outdoor.
I dont have apex controlling my ATO or water changes as i have genesis renew storm system and it comes with its own sensors to watch for water bin to be low to turn on the rodi unit and then shut off on its own when full.
This can be down with Apex by installing sensors. I would highly recommend to do double sensors for each stage.
2 on the bottom of the bin, 1 slightly above the other by maybe 0.5 inch. Program apex for the higher of the 2 bottom sensors to turn rodi on (solenoid controlled closed/open) lower of the bottom for fail safe in case and to shut the solenoid off rather than burning it.
On the Upper side also 2 sensors with 1 slightly above than other. lower one to shut solenoid off so rodi quits producing water. upper as fail safe.

Thanks Doc

I ran a fresh water line to my fish room and have my RODI unit in the fish room. I also plumbed two additional lines, one for waste water from the RODI unit, and one for waste AWC line. I keep my DOS in the fish room and it can push water up into the ceiling and three rooms away to a sink drain in my laundry room with no issues. No booster pump needed.

So are there any limitations on how far a 4 stage RODI system can push water? Basically like running a long hose from the faucet.
I know the DOS has a pretty long push/pull ability.
Now just gotta figure how to route lines as my ceiling is 2nd floor.

as long as your rodi pressure is same as your house plumbing pressure it will go as far and high as your house. i think,

I have a pressure gauge down stairs on my house water lines, with a freshwater line running upstairs to my rodi 1/4". Its always with in 1-2 psi of each other. My run is about 30' but I did test it with a 100' piece in the basement first. Psi was still close to the same. Ran a waste water line back down stairs to the utility tub.

Unlike Dr reef with his amazing water pressure I did add a booster pump (whole house) when I moved in. Mine was around 40-50 depending on the time of day and I hated the water pressure in the house.

yes i guess i am blessed with a higher pressure. it always runs about 65ish and sometimes about 70 PSI. i never had to buy a booster.
Most all rodi units on market and all membranes are going to require 50 PSI or more so in the pressure is low i would definitely get a booster.
