Howdy,

New long tentacle plate coral has been finicky with my sandy sifting goby bugging it all the time and a hermit or two walking across it.

After researching the issues with LTPC I decided to raise it off the sand bed with a candle holder I got from michaels. It has a overhang to keep the crabs from climbing on it and it is filled with sand with about a 1/4 inch space between the edge and the rounded glass so the goby will be less likely to dig around it.

Not sure if it’s the ticket but wanted to share in case others are having issues similar to mine. It has been a solid five minutes and it looks better already. :)

Sweet idea. That’s for sharing. I lost my orange plate coral. Guessing whatever is in the sand is eating away. I think this. I’ll try this next time.
