Yes i also thought that too if it was safe to turn off a wavemaker. But than i realized I'm running 3 of them lol and also my return pump. So maybe turning off the overkill dmp wouldnt be too bad? It gets more gentle after dmp is off nice lil break.

Do you have any small fish like a blenny that would “purch” on something or go in the wave maker when it’s off? Something to think about, don’t want to fall victim to that.

I have a tideline aio 31gal lagoon. I have about 12 nano fishes in there? I do have 1 blenny and yes ive seen him hangout on top of the mp10 i do have a guard on that one. Havent seen him on the dmp tho that one does not have a guard!

It’s something to keep in mind, when pumps stop spinning fish may want to go in it. Not a good outcome if it turns on while they are in it. You have great flow with that mp10. You may not need it?

Just the mp10 is not enough. I have a small tank mp10 can still be powerful lol i dialed it down to like 5-10% left it in the back corner for a gentle push. I still have dead spots using only the mp10. I like having 2 but dialed down. In the future I'm gonna invest in another mp10 replacement for dmp. Than my flow will be perfect! Lol

The flow looks fine to me, I would leave it 24/7
