hello all

any help identifying this disease on this fish would be appreciated. I’ve just lost a fish and am about to lose another....

I purchased 6 lyretail anthias last week. All we’re doing well. Yesterday one developed these plaques and was dead today. Later today another had these plaques (see pic). Also noted a long, stringy white stool that will not fall off today’s sick fish. Fish is not eating and breathing rapidly.

They are in a quarantine tank with cupramine and they got a 60 minute paraguard bath when I brought them home

Bacterial condition. Water quality likely issue. Water change, pull carbon.
Fish should respond well to Melafix ,vitamin such as Selcon and what is current salinity and tank temperature?

I have not been using any carbon, I have been using Selcon and garlic soaked food since day one, temp is 74 degrees, and salinity is 1.024. Additionally, I do daily water changes, small ones at that, to maintain water quality in my quarantine tank.

I appreciate the input and will start anabiotic therapy today.

Ahh as suspected- raise temp to 78 degrees and salinity to 1.025 - 1.026
