Please help. My hammer

Branching wall hammer. Was open full and beautiful 24 hours ago. Shrunk up about 12 hours ago. Woke up to this. What is it? Are the others at risk? What do I do? Best I can do with the pics. The inside looks white and stringy

I’ve had a hammer do that before. Mine got stressed out and started to look like that while it was growing a third had on it. The best thing to do is keep a close eye on it and try to move it. if the polyps get long and stringy, you start to skeleton, or it starts melting you might want to dip it. By the way what where your water parameters nitrates ammonia ph etc. was anything high or low. Check your flow and light placement.

If it's melting it could be BJD....which I believe is a bacterial infection.
