Please Help! Vortech battery backup issues!

Please help! So I am the other side of the country and my tank is with my parents. My mother unplugged both a vortech battery backup and an eco tech mp10. now she she plugs it all back in and it is showing blue and the amount left in the battery backup, on the ecotech monitor. But electricity is running to the ecotech, why is it still using the battery backup? Please send suggestions!!

Nevermind it is flashing white.. Like i said im no where near home.

Okay I think we got it. Had to just hit the mode button to get off the white.

Never mind. It switched back to the blinking white!! What the heck?!
