RODI dip the sick fish. It can buy you some time and give him some relief.
Still laying on side intermittently swimming around. Was hoping I’d see instant relief but not too much so far

Would a dip be more harm than good right now?? Just feel like taking him out might do him over

Not sure but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Didn’t make it …

I think I’m gonna try again. Any advice for next time? Should I just drop to 1.009 straight in the bag from the store while acclimating then add back into same tank as other one (with mandarin and engineer)

Or I’m thinking about doing a seperate 10 gallon observation tank on the next one but I’m not sure

Sorry to hear.

No, I would not go right to 1.009 straight from the store, it is too much for some fish to handle in one shot. However, many stores keep their fish at 1.018, and those fish can be acclimated down pretty quickly.

FW dips really should only be used to buy some time with severe fluke infections, and as a diagnostic dip. They don't work for Uronema or velvet at all, and the jury is still out if they remove an appreciable number of ich trophonts or not.
