Ok I have a 72 gal bowfront with 50 pounds live sand 100 pounds live rock several corals. There are 2 small piscasso clowns 2 cardinal 1 lawn mower Blennie 1 chromis misc crabs and snails and for now a large naso tang. O and two clams. Lights 7x54 ati t5. Sumo with fugue and octopuss skimmer. Mag 9 dialed back for return one korolia 4, 3 korolia 1 for flow. Plenty of surface agitation. Tank parameters.

Now the problem. Two weeks ago I found one of my piscaso clowns stuck to the overflow. I removed him and he was still breathing so I placed him in a container with an air stone. He didn't pull through. Today I woke up to my adult 6 in tang stuck to the korolia 4. Last night It didn't seem to be very active. Yesterday I did a 15 gallon water change with pre made saltwater. The parameters above are from after I found the tang today. I placed the tang in my 40 frag tank because he is still fighting but barely. I know parameters are high which I don't get. I don't dose anything. I use reef crystals and it's always premade for at the very least 4 days.

They all look good and have been eating. The tang did not come out for dried algae last night tho.

Your water looks good. Are there any signs of disease on the outsides of the fish?

Any cleaners used around the tank or on counter tops where food was prepared? Do you run activated carbon?

Temp climbs to that In The afternoon. Inverts doing fine. I have been fighting a little bit of red cyno here and there. Nothing was changed before the clown died. Only thing that has changed since then is I added another piscasso On Monday.

Personally I dont think you have enough flow. Check your ORP. Surface agittion does not always mean you are supplying your tankwith enough oxygen. Also your large naso could be bullying your tank mates for more room in that 75

Rock. the naso is the one that's Almost dead as we speak. You really think I don't have enough flow. What would you suggest.

Any ideas on how to help my tang. He can barely swim but if he get close to a power head it pulls him against it.

Also both fish have been found the same way. Stuck to either power head or overflow and still alive but to weak to swim. This sucks my tang looks around like what the heck and theres nothing I can do

You said you have 1 k4 and 3 k1 in there for flow. In my 90 which is basically the same dimensions as your 75 I run 2 mp40 full blast and feel i still need more flow. I mp40 is probably more flow then all your power heads combined. See if you can get a ORP checker from someone in your local reef club and go from there, but I really do think that could be a part of the problem as there is no way a healthy fish should get stuck to your power heads.

Could possibly have something to do with oxygen levels. You said you had one large tang die already and one large Naso on it's way out in a 72, if I read correctly. Tangs are oxygen hogs and they need lots of it. It could be possible your O2 levels are on the low side.

I can imagine your pain not being able to do anything. I hope you figure it out and things bounce back.

Piscasso clown about 2 inches died two weeks ago. Today my tang is on his way. I moved him to the frag tank to see if he could rebound but it don't look good. I wish I could afford two mp40s.

how long have you had all the fish in your tank? did you qt all fish before adding? I never lost a fish with low flow. can you add a air line to a power head for more oxygen in tank so fish can breath a little easier?
