This looks like a fireworm to me, though out of water it’s hard for me to tell entirely…
Look in the water and look for red tuffs between the white tuffs. There are many kinds of fire worms and bristle worms.

Out of water, I can't see any red tuffs.
+1 It's hard to tell without an underwater picture.
