I found two of these in my tank last night. One is on the base of this hammer and the 2nd one is twice as long and on a rock in the tank.

Thank You, I pulled the one off my hammer prior to putting it back into the tank and I guess it’s ok to leave the one in the tank correct?

Yes, They are perfectly fine to leave in the tank. Chances are that they will come and go.
