I went to plumb with Red PVC, it seems like the outer diameter is a little smaller than the white PVC, starting to get links just on the Union joints.. has anyone come across a solution for this?

Is the red PVC metric by any chance?

Where on the union tho? At the welded joint between the pipe and the fitting or within the threaded portion?
Where the union connects to the red pvc pipe..

Not sure if I should flex tape it, then cement the joint together?

is it slip or threaded? If slip glue it. If threaded, tephlon tape or thread sealer, but make sure to not over tighten and crack the fitting.

It could appear that the leak looks like its coming from the union/pipe seam, when actually the union is missing the small rubber gasket. They easily fall out? Hopefully this is the case because it would be an easy fix.

Did you glue/cement this connection? Did you use primer?
Looks like it it just duct taped.

If the pipe and socket size match, and you did glue it, something must have went wrong during the process.
If there is cement in there, at this point you likely will have to scrap both pieces and start over.
Process is: primer on pipe, primer on fitting, glue on pipe, glue on fitting, insert pipe into fitting, rotate 90 degrees and hold for 30 seconds.

I just used cement..I have never had a problem before.. I will have to cut this section out, and redo it.. which is fine because I want to run the pvc lower anyways.. thanks for the tip.. will use primer this time..

The primer should help. You can get clear primer so you don’t get the purple mess.
