Fish room build! I'm in the process of plumbing 4 tanks into one large sump. all 4 tanks have herbie style overflow. "2 drains per tank". I would prefer not to run 8 drains into the sump.
MY question for everyone. CAN I COMBINE THE TWO DRAINS INTO ONE!

Pictures below. overflow drains are both 1". I have them going into a 2" T fitting. then obviously 2'' pipe to the sump.
the 2" T/piping should account for both drain capacity if one was to fail.

would this work? blow up in may face. any positive/negative help would be appreciated.

I would much rather run four 2'' drain lines.

I would have rather used a WYE fitting, but then I am a little OCD when it comes down to it.
