I have two Red Sea reefer tanks side by side, one is a 525xl and the other is a 425xl, had this idea of plumbing these two tanks together. Is this possible? If it is, how could I do it? Would love to run both combined into one system.

Hi Red,
I have a Red Sea E-260 with the sump upgrade and what you propose is interesting. Only thing is.. you would have to have a pretty large sump to handle the amount of water flow you will need for both tanks. Were you thinking of having the sump housed in a separate cabinet away from the two tanks?

Depends on how much each display drains into the sumps(s). Will one sump handle both tanks overflow before their siphons break?
