Hello R2R!

Making this thread to document my Waterbox Infinia Reef 150.4 tank build.
Will update regularly as I progress.

Intending to be a LPS dominant Mixed reef.
Previous tank that’s still running is a 15G nano so this will be a big jump for me. But very excited for all the up’s and down’s to come!

Stocking List plans:

Phase 1:

Royal Gramma
Helfrichi Firefish
Diamond watchman Goby
(Goby will go in when algae appears along with first Cuc’s)

Phase 2:

Starry Blenny
Pair of Picasso Clowns
Melanarus Wrasse
Longfin Fairy Wrasse

Phase 3:

Yellow Tang
Magnificent Foxface
Tomini Tang

Not sure if this would be overstocked or understocked but I feel some more smaller fish may be added in the future but this is sort of what I’m looking at currently.

Tank will run with an Apex/trident dosing AFR from Tropic Marin.

First two inhabitants for the 150.4 in the “QT” tank. More of an observation tank as it’s cycled. But have a separate tank setup to do a proper QT on some other additions so I can dose the proper meds as required.

As it sits now I’m awaiting any day now to receive the tracking info for the tank itself.. been waiting for over 3 months 😬
In that time I’ve accumulated and planned out most of the tank. Will give more updates soon hopefully! WB also price matched me for their blue Friday sale so naturally I picked up a 25 peninsula because reasons. 🙄

Stand went together fairly easy. Nice quality so far.. gotta recruit a friend to set the tank on top in a while. Then it’s onto plumbing and rock work.

With a little help from some friends coaxed over with some pizza. Managed to set the tank on the stand. (Side note: wipe the pizza grease off your hands before lifting one of these lol..) time to plumb the tank.. hopefully my reef mat goes in without too much modification..

The cabinet is from adaptive reef. Bit pricey for what it is if I’m being honest but still nice.. yeah the wait time was a while, they delayed my delivery twice. I was supposed to have gotten it over a month ago

Playing around with some rock.. looks a bit bulkier than it is in person but still bulky.. lots of caves though.. trying to not create too much shadowing and have a good amount of surface area for corals while staying somewhat open.. I’d like to be able to look in from the sides and my view not be too obstructed.. will likely add some more arches in the back so it’s not so open.. sleeping on some ideas will work on it more tomorrow. Any input is welcome!

Hit a snag with the union that comes with the reefmat 1200.. should have known but it’s only a 1” fitting and my plumbing is 1-1/2”.. have to figure out how I can adapt it nicely.. was thinking a 1-1/2” to 1” reducer and a piece of 1” pipe.. but can’t find one at my local Home Depot.. the roller did come with a fitting that might work? But it isn’t listed in the manual. Unsure if I should just send it.. anyone know if this can be used?

Plumbing mostly installed 😬
Gotta hook up the return pump.. hoping this fitting works out. It’s just twisted onto the hose and slip fitted onto the pipe debating if I should glue it together, might be a pain if I need to remove though.

Everything wired up and plumbed.. gotta setup apex and put in the sand/rock work then it’s on to filling her up!
Have 50 gallons or so of RODI made up. But still working with my 75gpd system with an upgraded membrane.. really needs a booster tbh.

Update:

1/2 Mp40s hasn’t been able to recover from a stall error.. tried resetting controller and other troubleshooting as per Ecotech. But they suggested I RMA it as it’s covered under warranty. :/ at least I can still get the cycle going with just the 1 for now.
