Polyp Extension

Anyone have keys to getting good polyp extension during the day? i get pretty good PE at night, but not when the lights are on. i've started dosing KZ pohls xtra Amino Acid and feeding more.

Sounds like a good recipe to me! I would also decrease flow a little maybe? Not sure what your running but found that helps with sps!

All the way up? If so I'd say 50% should be plenty for sure and will help with PE. Jmo

I have good PE and I have a ton of flow, two mp40 turnt up. Start feeding your coral during day to get response. Your PE at night could be feeding, also what kind of fish do you have?

Psi feed my coral at night, my PE at night is rediculous.

i have decent PE at night. just wish it was like that during the day. cant say turning the flow down has helped a whole lot but time will tell.

8.1 dkh....out of curiosity, why do you want to lower it? I'm around 8.7-9 and things seem to do quite well.

when i started my whole dosing regimen i was running it at 9.3 or so. i've lowered it to 8.1 presently. however i seem to have discover what ales my acros. AEFW, i've battled these several months back, near the first of the year. i've dipped every acro i have at least once, but i must have missed some eggs. it's strange though because i dont see bite marks on anything. i found some really big ones today. i dipped about half my acros, i'm plucking everything off the rocks tmrw and making a large frag rack for them. dipping every few days for a couple weeks and inspecting with a magnifying glass to see if i can find any.
