Does anyone have any idea what could cause my Pom Pom Xenia to close up like this? Only thing that has changed is that my phos and nitrates have dropped a little, from 15 to 10 and .5 to .25 respectively

Low nitrates and iron in water
They require moderate light and water flow along with SOME nitrates and iron plus strontium

I find they don’t like low salinity it’s the only thing I find that really bothers them

High Kh also seems to irritate them

I find them finicky. They seem to like certain trace elements and hate high temps. Poor shippers too. Took me a long time to grow them and they still do poorly in my DT. They like my frag tank though.

Salinity is 1.026 and my alk sits at 168-170 consistently.
