Got my first sps frag about a month ago and went with a birdsnest because I have underpowered lights. I know they grow fast and it has definetly grown already. Just want to make sure all is going well. The left pic is today and the right is the day I put it in just under a month ago.

Looking good birds nest are definitely notorious for growing quickly I picked up a neon green one from a local reefer about 4 months ago and it’s grown at least 10x in size I actually fragged it because the lower branches were getting no light here’s a picture of when I first got it and a picture of the 2 frags I took off of it and what is left after I fragged it

Perfect, thanks. I got it with the thought that my lights my not be enough for it. I have 2 Orbit Marine IC Pros because of the cost and never planned on keeping anything but soft and lps, but had a spot at the highest point of my rocks and wanted something different. It should be getting in the area of 200 Par

looks good! You could always get some Dendros or Sun Corals that dont need light.
My Sun Coral:

I would love to have a Sun Coral, but haven't seen them very often at the place I get my coral from. They look amazing!!! For some reason, the thought of coral that is completely dependent on feeding and not so much light kind of scares me a little. Lol
My tank has been up for 3 years and it still feels like I just set it up. I think I probably have the slowest growing reef in history. I add a new frag maybe once every 4 to 6 months.

Haha, I seem to add a new tank every 4-6 months
Cheers! Mark
