I have a 180g aquarium and everyonce in a while I hear a pop or a creak. The tanks on a steel stand with a wood top, floor underneath has jacks under the joists. All silicone still looks flawless. Its random and every once in a while. It is disconcerning but its been doing that for 4-5 years lol.

I cant pinpoint if its pumps, lights, light fixtures, plumbing, UV’s, electronics etcs lol

Anyone elses tank do this?

I take it you don't have an Emperor Angel? You'd hear the sound (grunts) of falling rocks. 😉

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Its pretty mechanical sounding. Ill know if it ever fails. But it could also be fish or one of my 6 mp40’s as well

All wooden floors creak as temperature and humidity vary.

I've never had a stand make such noises. Are you sure this isn't a pistol shrimp or Mantis making the "pops"?

Have any trigger fish?

Nope but a blue throat on the way

Sounds like my knees :/

Mine too lol. Broke my femur 10 years ago and my knee is crunchy

Fire and cleaner

Yea not sure why lol. But is a tall planet aquariums one. I upgraded the feet to machine leveling feet so hopefully more stable.
