Possible dino

Can anyone tell me if this is dino? I thought it was diatom, but now I'm pretty sure it's dino!

Is it dusty looking or slimy with bubbles in it?

Yes it is. Is it all over your sand bed, or just in spots. Could be that you need to adjust your powerheads to get better flow.

It is slimy looking, and has air bubbles. It goes away during lights out, and comes right back when lights come on. I have gha so I've been doseing 5ml of vibrant twice a week for the last 3 weeks just to battle that, and this stuff just showed up over night. I also have been doseing 5ml peroxide every night since the outbreak! As of tonight I started a kalkwasser drip to try to get my ph a little higher. My nitrates are 0, phosphates are 0, ph is low , 8.0 it is normally a steady 8.4! Calcium 360ppm, and alkalinity is 8dkh!

Sounds like dinos. Keep up the maintenance plan and it will go away. Another option is to treat with a red slime treatment, turn lights off for three days and turn skimmer off until treatment is done.

I pull gha out by hand and place turbo snails right next to it. Crazy snails wonder off and knock over coral instead of doing their job. Lol
