Currently dealing with an issue of Montipora, Pulsing Xenia, zoanthids, and snails dying. But not seeing any issues in the fish, or inverts such as a brittle star, urchin, hermits, pistol shrimp and majority of soft, LPS, and SPS corals

The tank was recently set up a year and a half ago, but I use some equipment from an old set up. I had 10+ years ago thinking it could be possibly metals leaking into the water from the return pump and skimmer?

Would love to get a second opinion here as I’ll provide some pictures below as well as my parameters.

The parameters are all good.

I don't see any algae in your pics so I would guess the snails died of hunger.

So that leaves lighting and flow for the corals. Looks like the corals are slowly fading away, so without much more info to go on, I would guess the lights are too low.

I’ve had a long and hard battle with what I believe is Bryopsis. So I don’t know why that would starve out the snails.

Here is a screen shot of my light schedule and intensity on my 2 AI prime16HD lights that are mounted 16” above the water.

Not sure what these settings mean, but given that these are AI primes and are mounted quite high - I would assume it is indeed insufficient light.

If you can get a PAR meter, I’d guess you’ll likely see numbers more on the lower end of the scale (100ish tops).

I actually ordered a par meter last night should be here by the end of the week I’ll keep you updated! I’m also very curious to know!
