My poor alveopora has been angry for about a week now. I thought it was the lights. Or flow.

Well upon closer inspection, all the little things I thought were “pineapple sponges” were actually egg clusters. And these little pink stringy things picked off with tweezers. I believe they were some sort of parasite

Does anyone have experience with these? I broke my alveopora in half trying to scrape the eggs off before dipping in hydroplex.

I don’t have a quarantine setup yet. But it’s on my bucket list

I can't tell heads or tails from the pictures, but take a look at this goniopora eating nudibranch and the eggs. These have been coming in on maricultured pieces a lot recently.

I found another thread and it looks like a nudibranch… now I have to figure out how to treat it. It’s my first parasite
