Justvwondered if there is a reliable test for potassium that people use and would recommend?

Just my experience…
I tried the Salifert potassium kit and I just could not make it work. I suspect user error.

There is also test kit from FM but because of my experience with Salifert I didn’t try it.

ICP tests seem to provide somewhat reliable value for potassium so that is what I use these days. I don’t find potassium doing much in my tank and water change seems to keep it in range.

Good luck,

I used a potassium test from Fauna Marin many years ago (in a 2015 post I also referred to it as being years ago lol), and the way I used it was to test against new salt mix (they looked identical), but I do not know anything about current potassium test kit accuracy.

Salifert got me to within 20 of my last icp so I figure just like mag it's close enough. Weirdly it seems to be a little more consistent after achieving 400.
